Since discovering goalball and making his first national team in 2003 when he was 21, Daryl has competed in 12 countries, won five national championships, and competed in two Paralympic Games, winning a silver medal in 2016. Day in the Life: Cody Carmicle – Goalball

Cody Carmicle (Lafayette, Ind.) is a resident athlete at the Goalball Center of Excellence at Turnstone in Fort Wayne. Carmicle first learned about the sport of goalball from a teacher in high school. He was introduced to the U.S. Men’s Goalball Team when Coach Boyle and some of the players visited his school to do a demonstration. Day in the Life: Ali Lawson – Goalball

Ali Lawson is a resident athlete at the Goalball Center of Excellence at Turnstone in Fort Wayne. Lawson first learned about the sport of goalball when she was a sophomore in high school – at a summer camp with the Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta, Georgia. U.S. Men’s and Women’s Goalball Teams Announced for 2018 World Championships


U.S. Goalball Head Coaches have named the teams that will represent Team USA at the 2018 IBSA Goalball World Championships to be held in Malmö, Sweden June 3-8, 2018. The tournament will serve as Team USA’s first opportunity to qualify its men’s and women’s goalball teams for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. In 2014, both U.S. Men and Women earned places on the podium (Women: 1st, Men: 3rd) to qualify to compete at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
