The 1988 Women’s Goalball Team took home silver at the Paralympic Games in Seoul, Korea. This group of women continues to serve as mentors, role models, and key note speakers for numerous events. Some of the women also serve on state and national boards for the blind and state blind sports organizations. Maureen Ryan Esposito even served on the USABA Board of Directors. For some, it was their first Paralympic Games and for others, their last; the enthusiasm and excitement of being a part of such a monumental event was contagious!
